Peter Duncan, the Chief Scout, visited the Scouting Centre site today (Saturday, 15th March 2008), to cut the first turf for the building of our new scouting centre. To help people visualise the new facility, the outline of the building was marked out with tape.

Peter arrived at 10am to be greeted by Benita Middleton (District Commissioner), Geoff Tranter (Scouting Centre chairman) and a large gathering of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, parents and other well wishers. After a few words, Peter cut the first turf with the assistance of several willing volunteers.

THANK YOU PETER FOR COMING TO SEE US AT THIS EXCITING TIME!
