16th February 2008 Construction starts for the concrete bases of new store buildings. Warwick Design and Construction are carrying out this work. |

17th February 2008 The bases have been fully dug out, the hardcore and sand laid and the formwork fixed. |
23rd February 2008 The concrete was poured on 19th February. The tarpaulins are needed to allow the concrete to "cure"; if allowed to dry too quickly it does not gain its full stength. |
1st April 2008 The first of the new stores buildings was erected today. This is a large precast concrete garage building supplied by Compton Buildings Ltd. |
1st April 2008 If only the main building was this quick! By lunch time the store is finished. Side hung timber doors have been ordered separately. |
8th April 2008 The second store is up. These buildings now need some time to dry out and will have a lining and doors fitted over the next few weeks. |
19th April 2008 The store lining has started. Tools and timber at the ready. The timber has kindly been supplied by Travis Perkins at their staff discount rate. |
19th April 2008 Carpentry skill are honed. |
19th April 2008 A framework of treated timber is bolted to to the walls and the plywood screwed in place. |
19th April 2008 The finished article. Two buildings lined in one day, thanks to the invaluable assistance of parents and other helpers. |
25th April 2008 Racking has now been installed in one of the stores. The racking has been supplied and fitted completely free of charge by Designed Storage Ltd |
3rd May 2008 Doors have now been fitted to the store buildings. |
