The sub-base, damp-proof membrane, insulation, reinforcement and formwork for the main building slab have been installed, ready for the concrete to be poured

This is the laser device which will be used to control the level of the slab.

The first load of concrete arrives. Ten loads will be required.

The concrete is delivered into the formwork by the pump.

The slab has been filled to the required level and awaits final finishing.

Once an initial set has occurred, power floating of the slab commences. This results in a very smooth, high tolerance finish.

5th July 2008
The finished slab, the following morning. A curing membrane has been applied to prevent the concrete from drying out too quickly.
